Child Safety Standards
Last updated: September 15, 2026
mello is an adults-only social app for people age 18 and older. We maintain zero-tolerance standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation, including child sexual abuse material.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services now. Do not download, copy, forward, or otherwise redistribute suspected child sexual abuse material when making a report.
Our standard
mello prohibits using the app to create, upload, store, request, share, promote, facilitate, or normalize child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) or child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards apply to profiles, photos, event listings, messages, voice content, links, and conduct connected to mello.
Prohibited conduct
Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation:
- sexual content involving or appearing to involve anyone under 18, including computer-generated or altered depictions where prohibited by law;
- grooming, sextortion, sexual solicitation, trafficking, enticement, or arranging contact with a child for sexual purposes;
- requesting, offering, linking to, possessing, or distributing CSAM;
- sexualizing a child, exchanging sexual imagery with a child, or encouraging a child to conceal unsafe contact; and
- using mello to identify, target, threaten, exploit, or endanger a child.
Violations may result in immediate content restriction, account suspension or termination, preservation of relevant evidence, and reports to the appropriate authorities as required by applicable law.
How to report a concern
Members can report a profile, message, event, or other content from within the mello app. Select the relevant report option and include enough context for our safety team to locate the concern. Members can also block another account in the app.
Anyone may report a child-safety concern by emailing support@mellomeet.com. Include the mello username, event or message context, and an explanation of the concern. Do not attach or forward suspected CSAM.
How mello responds
We review child-safety reports, restrict access where appropriate, preserve information when legally required, and take action under our Terms and safety rules. When we obtain actual knowledge of apparent CSAM, we act to remove or disable access and make legally required reports to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children or the relevant regional authority. We cooperate with valid legal process and may contact law enforcement when a child may be at risk.
Our response depends on the facts, safety needs, applicable law, and instructions from competent authorities. To protect victims and investigations, we may not be able to tell a reporter every action taken.
Child safety point of contact
Google Play and child-safety authorities may contact mello's designated safety team at support@mellomeet.com. This contact is monitored for potential CSAE or CSAM notifications and compliance questions.
